Instructions
Start by washing and drying the lettuce leaves carefully. Choose large, intact leaves that will hold the filling without tearing. Romaine and butter lettuce are ideal because of their size and flexibility. Did you know that one medium romaine leaf has about 2 calories, making it a great low-calorie choice?
2
Place your lettuce leaves flat on a clean cutting board or plate. Take the turkey slices and layer them evenly across each leaf, ensuring a solid base for your wrap. Next, add 1 slice of bacon, the cheese stick, a few slices of avocado, red onion, and tomato on top of the turkey.
3
Season lightly with salt and pepper, and squeeze a little lime juice on top if you want a zesty taste. You can also add mustard, banana peppers, or any other tasty sandwich topping!
4
Gently fold the lettuce leaves over the filling to create your wrap. If needed, you can secure the wraps with a toothpick, but the sturdiness of the leaves should usually keep everything intact. Your tasty BLTA Lettuce Wraps are now ready to enjoy!
